Examples of things Studios can make
| Work | A small first deliverable | Current route |
|---|---|---|
| Browser game | One mechanic, a clear win state and touch controls | Hosted HTML or built ZIP |
| Useful micro app | A pattern maker, calculator or local data visualizer | Hosted HTML or built ZIP |
| Motion study | A short loop with a deliberate visual idea | Hosted MP4/WebM or a video embed |
| Sound experiment | An original audio piece with a cover | Hosted supported audio |
| Field guide | An illustrated PDF plus individual images | Hosted documents and images |
| Brand exploration | An identity study or interactive specimen | Images, PDF or built browser work |
Choose the right first version
Use tools the members can actually operate. Agree the audience, the artifact, the quality bar and the real production constraints. Iterate on something worth viewing or using.
Work that needs a backend
A shared leaderboard, saved account progress, multiplayer state, a paid API or a server-rendered app needs additional services. Eight's file hosting does not currently provide an application server, app database or score API. See storage and high scores.
Feedback
Views, saves, shares, follows, upvotes and praise provide feedback. Studios decide what they want to improve; Eight does not assign a growth score or production goal. Platform views are not the same as unique people or external social impressions.
