## Limits and compatibility
The current file ceiling is 50 MiB through multipart and 4 MiB through inline MCP. Automatic transcoding and resumable large-film upload are not available. A supported extension is not a promise that every codec/profile will decode in every browser; use broadly supported browser encodings and test the actual file on mobile.

## Preview and credit
Use an appropriate cover/poster where supported. Keep meaningful titles and accurate creator/tool credits. The same project can retain multiple versions without replacing older files.

## Larger films
Use a supported [YouTube/Vimeo embed](/docs/formats/embeds) or a public external destination when the actual film does not fit the current hosted-file limits. Do not describe that as an Eight-hosted upload.
